Largest free flying flag in world.
Normally the flag flies at the George Washington Bridge and only on special occasions. This giant American Flag was unveiled at Ground Zero today the day before the 10th Anniversary of the 9-11 attacks.
The choir just happened to be practicing as the flag was unveiled.
Update: Michelle Malkin, Remembrance. Resolve.”May God bless America. Blessed Americans, may we all resolve to keep and protect it.”
Update 2: [Below] A sign placed on the fence of Fort Myer in Arlington, Virginia. Fort Myer is a U.S. Army Base near The Pentagon. It became a staging area for updates on rescue efforts as well as an impromptu memorial for victims of 9/11. (Courtesy: Becky Kellogg)
