Anita Moncrief: White Privilege movement is mostly about power, very little about race

Anita Moncrief weighs in on the White Privilege movement in America:

In a series of investigative reports posted last week, Progressives Today has exposed the far left radical agenda of the White Privilege Conference (WPC).

On the surface the conference and White Privilege movement is supposed to be about how American society remains fundamentally biased against people of color.

But a peek under the surface makes one fact abundantly clear – race is simply a useful tool for a bunch of Marxist radicals, most of whom are educators, who want to remake America in the image of Cuba, with a collectivist economy and a totalitarian government to impose it.

In a report presented to the radical Democracy Alliance by the Kirwan Institute entitled Progressive Politics: The Strategic Importance of RaceWPC presenter (and Berkeley professor) John C. Powell expounds on race and the need to build a progressive power base organized around race.

“Progressives sense the urgent need to develop and support a sustainable progressive movement. They have been losing ground for several years and will continue to do so unless an alternative strategy is developed…

“The focus of this memo is to explore the role of race and class in developing a sustainable progressive movement…We will show that it is not plausible to build a progressive agenda without addressing race…

“It is not whether race will be used, but how. The response must be to make race explicit but in a transformative manner.”

Plainly put, he means using the race card to promote a broad anti-American agenda…

WHITE PRIVILEGE CONFERENCE – 2,400 educators learn how to HATE capitalism and Christianity (video)

MADISON, Wis. – When mainstream journalists cover the White Privilege movement, many do so in a frighteningly naïve manner.

They present White Privilege activists as well intentioned citizens who simply want to remind us that racism still exists.

But there’s far more to their message and agenda than that…

White Privilege Conference speakers train teachers to inject theory into ELEMENTARY classrooms (video)

…“White Privilege” theorists aren’t content with just indoctrinating high school students. Their agenda is to start earlier than that. Four- and five-year-olds are much more impressionable than a skeptical teenager.

That’s why there was a session at the 2014 White Privilege Conference – held in Madison, Wisconsin in late March – titled, “Examining White Privilege and Building Foundations for Social Justice Thinking in the Elementary Classroom.” The session was led by two teachers, Rosemary Colt and Diana Reeves.

“But what we’re hoping to be able to convince you is possible is to take the (inaudible) sequences, which you are directed to be using, and to find within them opportunities to begin to insert social justice, anti-racist information for even little kids to understand,” Reeves said.

The teachers posted examples of their lessons for attendees to consider.

One lesson dealt with the U.S. Constitution…

He’s 20, he’s white, and he’s a freshman at Princeton University.

According to the ethnic and feminist studies college students and professors who frequently and vehemently complain that this country is steeped in racism and sexism and is only fair and just and equal for white, heterosexual males – he is the poster child for so-called “White Privilege.”

His name is Tal Fortgang, and just eight months into his Ivy League experience, he’s been told on numerous occasions to “check his privilege” – a phrase that has taken social media social justice campaigning by storm.

It is meant to remind white, heterosexual males that they have it so good because they’re white, heterosexual males. They haven’t faced tough times, they don’t know what it’s like to be judged by the color of their skin.

Oh, but they do.

Those sick of being labeled are the very same ones doing it to others, and Tal Fortgang has a powerful message for them..

Update: R.I. middle school cancels honors event due to ‘exclusive nature’

A Rhode Island middle school is canceling its long-running “Honors Night” event for exceptional students, because school officials are afraid its “exclusive nature” will make others feel left out…

Promoting mediocrity and political correctness instead of celebrating exceptional students. Classic!
