If there ever were a doubt, no matter how small, that the mainstream media is deeply in bed with the Obama campaign, the reaction to the killing of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and several other Americans should put such doubt to rest.

Beginning early this morning, when news was just breaking, the left-blogosphere and mainstream media, led by MSNBC, has attempted to shift the focus from the Obama administration’s failure to protect our embassies and for its apologies (both before and after the attack on the Cairo Embassy) to whether Mitt Romney was wrong to criticize Obama last night.

No, I’m not kidding…

…Here was Romney’s press conference in which the media swarmed to attack him over his criticism of Obama last night.  To his credit, Romney did not back down…

Obama did not take any questions during his short statement.

So now the focus of the MSM is whether Romney made a mistake, not the dead Ambassador, not the Obama administration failures, not the complete disarray of U.S. MidEast policy, not the rise of Islamists, no none of that…

In the confusion surrounding the murders of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya yesterday, the Libyan government — which exists due to the military intervention of the US and NATO — initially left the impression that loyalists to dead dictator Moammar Qaddafi conducted the assassinations.  CBS, however, now reports that the Libyan government has changed its tune.  Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and the other diplomatic personnel got moved to another building by Libyan security forces when the consulate was attacked, and then betrayed by them to the attackers…

CAJ note: Imagine: President Obama went to all that trouble on behalf of these animals by waging war illegally–without Congressional consent–in Libya, and this is the thanks he gets from them. Sadly, our four dead citizens are paying the price for Obama’s radical, inept foreign policy.

Didn’t this dude’s party just reject God 3 times? Obama rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others

Update 3Shades of Tehran 1980: Obama Only Sending 50 Marines into Libya

…I love our military and fully support them, but why are we only sending 50 Marines?

With all due respect to those making these decisions, it is high time to fight from a position of strength. We must use overwhelming force, as force is the only thing the armed mobs in Libya will understand.

It seems we are sending a very small group of fighters into harm’s way, and in so doing, may only succeed in seeing harm done to our Marines…

President Obama’s 9/11 in Libya

Apologizing to Our Enemies

All Presidents are hostages to events. It is, however, the manner in which they respond that shapes their outcome.

By the afternoon of September 11, the Obama administration scrambled to disavow a statement to the assault on the U.S. embassy in Cairo that had been issued by the embassy. The statement said, “The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims—as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions.” “Misguided individuals”? “The statement by Embassy Cairo was not cleared by Washington and does not reflect views of the United States government” an unnamed administration official told Politico.

But the statement did reflect the Obama administration’s views as expressed repeatedly over the years. Indeed, in condemning the killing of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and his staff, issued on September 12, was repeated in President Obama’s statement. “While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the senseless violence that took the lives of these public services.” The attacks, deliberately timed to coincide with the eleventh anniversary of the worst attack on the U.S. homeland…

Rush Limbaugh this morning: Media and Democrats Try to Make Obama’s Foreign Policy Disaster About Mitt Romney

So let me tell you what’s happening out there, folks.  I’m gonna give you a timeline here in just a second.  I’m gonna tell you things that you probably don’t know about what’s happening in the Middle East, and I’m gonna tell you why it’s happening and why idiots are wrong about why it’s happening.  But what really is going on, is there is a coordinated effort by the media, in coordination with the White House, to turn this story… what is this about?  I’m trying to be calm, cool, collected, reserved, professional.  We’re in the midst of a disaster.

This is a full-fledged foreign policy disaster from the moment the embassy in Cairo put that statement out yesterday, before any of this happened, it’s the most amazing thing.  It is a pre-apology.  I’ll read it to you in just a second.  What they’re trying to do is make all of this about Romney.  We’re in the midst of a genuine… second term of Jimmy Carter, anybody? 1979, anybody?  We’re in the middle of an absolute disaster, a foreign policy disaster.  And there’s a coordinated effort to make it about Romney and whether or not he should speak; whether he should say anything about it; whether or not it’s presidential for Romney.  We’re only supposed to have one president at times like this.  Well, we don’t have one, unless Romney speaks up, and that’s the sad reality…

…There are also people who believe that the Reverend Terry Jones is to blame for this, the preacher in Gainesville, Florida, who at one time threatened to burn the Koran and was talked out of it.  There are actually people who believe that this happened yesterday because of an American preacher and whatever he says, thinks, or has alluded to perhaps doing involving Islam.  Now, what does that mean?  That means that we are to accept the notion that any criticism of this religion justifiably makes these people nuts, and they attack our embassy, and then they kill our ambassador, and it’s his fault. It’s not theirs. It’s not the militant Islamists’ fault.  No, no, they’re sitting there minding their own business, 9/11, they don’t even remember what the significance of the date is. They hear about the movie. They hear about the preacher and they go nuts in our embassy.  And we’re supposed to believe this? …

…”The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals [in America] to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims — as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions.”  Except again, I must add, the Catholic Church.  It doesn’t matter.  We’ll hurt their feelings and we’ll make them violate their closest held beliefs.  We don’t care about the feelings of the people in the Catholic Church.  And apparently we don’t have any feelings about the Copt Christians in Egypt, either.  How would you like to be a Copt Christian in Egypt, Cairo, and see what happened yesterday?  The US embassy can’t even protect itself.  How’s it gonna protect you?…

…I’m sitting here thinking, “What can we do about this?” Beyond hope that the American people see it and get it…
