Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) took a shot at President Obama’s foreign policy in an impassioned speech on the House floor Wednesday, slamming the administration’s response to the killings of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, by radical Islamists during an attack on the U.S. embassy in Libya.
After paying tribute to Stevens, Gohmert seemingly lectured the current administration on its duty to protect the United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
“It does not help when an administration in response to American attacks on American Soil and American individuals, the administration ends up asking Americans to give up their First Amendment rights for which our service members are fighting,” Gohmert said. “It doesn’t help when a general asks an American to give up your First Amendment rights rather than proclaiming, ‘We’re the United States military, you have attacked our country, you have attacked our brothers and sisters, and you will pay for that.’”
But that’s not how the federal government responded to the crisis, he explained. After a group of radical Islamists tore apart an American flag at a U.S. consulate in Cairo, the embassy released a statement apologizing for people in America that may have hurt the “religious feelings” of Muslims. To be fair, the White House later released a statement distancing itself from the apology.
“It’s OK to burn a Bible, that’s OK,” Gohmert said, mocking the current administration. “OK to burn a flag, OK, that’s all right,” he continued. “But just, you know, for heaven‘s sake don’t say anything that might offend someone of the Islamic religion.”…

“We should say to other State Department equivalents, you speak with your mob, you talk to them about this, and you defend our embassies”
“I find this is a return to the sentiment of the embassy statement two days ago, I think they are totally in meltdown at the State Department”

Democrat Attacks GOP for Omitting Sharia Law
After the Democrats took some heat for omitting God and then reinserting Him into their party platform at the DNC Convention, Democrat Keith Ellison (MN) attacked the GOP for banning Sharia Law from theirs.
“They’re demonstrating hatred toward Muslims,” Ellison said, claiming, “they are basically a bigoted party.”
The GOP stance on Sharia law is such: “Subjecting American citizens to foreign laws is inimical of the Spirit of the Constitution. There must be no use of foreign law by the United States courts in interpreting our Constitution and Laws.”
Therefore, the GOP is banning Sharia Law from being established in the United States (and as oppressive to women and children as Sharia is, this is a very good idea).
But Ellison argued, “There has never been legislation offered to establish Sharia law, not at the federal level, not at the state level.”

Update: Report: Intelligence Cable Sent To Cairo Prior To Attacks According to the CNN video, the Cairo embassy was warned about increased viewings of “Innocence of Muslims” but not much more. Here is more video of Jay Carney saying the Administration had “no actionable intelligence.”
No Marines for Libyan Ambassador, Full Security Detail for Valerie Jarrett Vacation.
Ambassador Chris Stevens did not have a Marine detail in Benghazi, Libya. But White House Senior Advisor and Obama confidante Valerie Jarrett has a full Secret Service detail on vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, according to Democratic pollster Pat Caddell.
That’s the pathetic foreign policy of the Obama administration, says Caddell today in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News. “Jarrett seems to have a 24 hour, around the clock detail, with five or six agents full time,” Caddell explains. “The media has been completely uninterested. We don’t provide security for our ambassador in Libya, but she needs a full Secret Service security detail. And nobody thinks there’s anything wrong with this. And nobody in the press will ask. What kind of slavish stoogery are they perpetrating here?
“This country has reached the point of absurdity. There are people dead because we don’t have security details for them. But she’s privileged to have a full Secret Service detail on vacation?”…
