The loud gasp comes at the 30-second mark. You can see IRS Commissioner John Koskinen glance nervously in the direction of the sound, knowing full well he is standing atop an incredibly slippery slope here. The destruction of that hard drive (along with six others – all linked to the IRS abuse scandal) was an act of destroying evidence, and the only reason I can think of for people to take such a significant risk, is they were directed to do so from some powerful higher ups who most likely originated via 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It is a dramatic moment to be sure, and one that if we had an honest media, would be replayed over and over again throughout the weekend. As it is, it is up to YOU to let others know of this moment that took place today…

…Watch the dramatic moment when [IRS Commissioner John Koskinen] admits to the destruction of Lois Lerner’s hard drive:

Congressman Paul Ryan took IRS Commissioner John Koskinen to task for the agency’s unbelievable excuse for “accidentally” losing two years of emails from former tax exempt organizations head Lois Lerner and six other employees under investigation in the IRS targeting scandal.

While the commissioner sat there with a smug expression on his face, at one point, Ryan exploded…

…It’s clear that Democrats are disinterested in the IRS’ abuse of taxpaying citizens, even though the agency admitted to and apologized for targeting groups that were religious or conservative in nature. Contrary to mainstream media talking points, non-leftwing groups were overwhelmingly targeted and progressive groups were always greenlighted.

In March of this year, the IRS Commissioner testified that all the agency’s emails were backed up on servers. It appears like there was a smoking gun that was later turned into a smoking hard drive.

Update: Congressman Stockman introduces bill to grant taxpayers same excuse as IRS

…“The United States was founded on the belief government is subservient and accountable to the people. Taxpayers shouldn’t be expected to follow laws the Obama administration refuses to follow themselves,” said Stockman. “Taxpayers should be allowed to offer the same flimsy, obviously made-up excuses the Obama administration uses.”…

Update 2: White House Calls IRS Investigation a ‘Conspiracy Theory’

…“There have been 13 months of multiple congressional investigations, including 14 congressional hearings, 30 interviews with IRS employees, 50 written congressional requests, and 750,000 pages of documents, and all of that has done nothing to substantiate false Republican claims of a broader political conspiracy,” Earnest said. “So I don’t know if you’re floating another conspiracy or if this is a request from Republicans who are floating a conspiracy or what exactly the suggestion is. But the fact of the matter is we’ve cooperated extensively, and despite that cooperation, you know, we’ve seen continued allegations of Republican conspiracy theories that just never pan out.”

Fox News reporter Ed Henry followed up saying Earnest didn’t seem to be taking the allegations seriously…

Darrell Issa addressed his most recent summons to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Seeking more information about Lois Lerner’s lost emails, the House Oversight Committee chairman has asked White House counsel Jennifer O’Connor to testify on Tuesday.

Issa believes that O’Connor may have known about the missing emails long before lawmakers…

White House Learned of Lerner’s Crashed Hard Drive 6 Weeks Before Congress (video)

In sworn testimony Friday, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen admitted that the IRS told the Obama administration about Lois Lerner’s missing emails in April, six weeks before telling Congress, even though Congress had subpoenaed Lerner’s emails as part of its investigation into the alleged muzzling of conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status before the 2010 election…
