President Barack Obama, speaking in Mexico City on Friday, said the United States is responsible for much of the crime and violence in Mexico because of the demand for drugs and the illegal smuggling of guns across the southern border.

He told the crowd, “We understand that the root cause of violence that’s been happening here in Mexico for which so many Mexicans have suffered is the demand for illegal drugs in the United States.” He later added, “We also recognize that most of the guns used to commit violence here in Mexico come from the United States.”

Obama acknowledged the illegal smuggling of guns into Mexico by American criminals, but did not mention the Justice Department’s Operation Fast and Furious that allowed the flow of about 2,000 U.S. guns to Mexican drug trafficking organizations. Fast and Furious began in the fall of 2009 and was halted in December 2010 after two of the weapons from the DOJ gun walking program were found at the murder scene of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry…

Marooned in Marin cries treason: Obama Bashes America On Foreign Soil: Blames America, NOT Him Or Eric Holder, For Gun Violence In Mexico

…Univision, a Hispanic TV network, had to expose what the US Media (except for Katie Pavlich, Sharyl Attkisson and the blogosphere) has all but ignored in order to protect Obama. One such incident killed 14 Mexican teenagers in Ciudad Juarez, across the border from El Paso. All from guns allowed to fall into the hands of the cartels and cross the border by Eric Holder and Richard Milhous Obama. Obama talks out one side of his mouth about saving the lives of our children from gun violence, but he won’t talk about these teenagers in Mexico who died as a direct result of his regime.Obama and Holder have the blood of Mexican citizens and US law enforcement on our hands. If he should apologize about anything, it should be for his Regime allowing guns to cross the border into Mexico.

And this explains the whole amnesty…er…immigration reform issue, right? Obama in Mexico: “Without strong support of Hispanics” I would not be President.

…Obama laid out a five-point program for cooperation with Mexico:

  • Invest in roads and bridges, and “empower our young entrepreneurs”;
  • “Build more things together”;
  • Work on green energy;
  • “Do more together in education so our young people have the knowledge and skills to succeed”;
  • Spend taxpayer dollars on “innovation, research, and development.”

Virtually all of this could be done in the private sector. But Mexico remains a problematic investment partner for private industry because of its lack of law and order. So the American taxpayer will instead foot the burden…

From today’s “The Rush Limbaugh Show,” The Hispanic Vote Isn’t Why Romney Lost

…the point is the Republicans are now accepting what the Democrats and the media are telling them, that they lost because the Hispanics don’t like ’em.  The Hispanics think that you Republicans want them to go away.  The Hispanics think that you Republicans want them to self-deport.  And if you don’t self-deport, they think you want to kick ’em out of the country.  So you Republicans, you better get with it, and you better make the Hispanics understand that you like ’em.

So the party’s doing that.  They’ve got this new pathway to citizenship immigration bill.  They’re saying all the right things.  But, again, remember, the percentage of the electorate that was Hispanic in 2012 was 7%.  Obama got 71% of it; Romney got 27%.  And if you reverse that, Romney gets 70%, he still loses.  The highest percentage of the Hispanic vote any Republican president’s ever got was Bush at 44.  So the point of saying that even if Romney gets 70% he would still lose, it tells you that the Republican Party’s problem is not the Hispanic vote…
