Obama blinks: Child illegal immigrants 'priorities for removal,' won’t get deferred legal status

As illegal immigrants flood the souther United States border, the Obama administration has made what it appears to be its first blink in the fight over amnesty.  Today, administration officials cited the thousands of children now packed into holding cells in Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico as “priorities for removal,” saying these children would not be granted deferred legal status under Obama’s executive order…

…This is the first sign of retreat from the Obama administration’s calculated strategy to use children as the emotional leverage in the fight over amnesty for illegal immigrants.  President Obama’s decision to completely ignore existing immigration law has created a humanitarian crisis in the Southwest as thousands of parents from Central America have begun sending their children, often unaccompanied, over the US border in hopes that they will be given citizenship.

…Sent to members of Congress and staff by Rose Hacking, of the office of the assistant secretary of legislation at HHS, the invitation comes with the following commands:

No recording devices will be allowed (We may ask you to leave your cellphone in our vehicle)
No questions will be allowed during the tour, but questions will be addressed later
No interacting with staff and children at the shelter
We will provide photos of the facility after the tour

During the tour, ”the tour guide will detail what goes on from room to room and the services youth are provided on a daily basis,” the email invitation reads.

Obama plotted tidal wave of illegal alien kids, say critics (video)

…”Anyone who believes this is just a unilateral plot by Latin Americans to gain entry into the United States and access U.S. social services including health care is blind to the fact that the Obama administration already had a plan to secretly — with the help of his news media allies — transport the young illegals to other U.S. cities such as Phoenix, Tucson, New York and others across the country. The idea was to do it before the American people got wind of this social fiasco,” said former police commanding officer of an anti-narcotics unit, Rick Gonzales-Thompson…

…The Obama plot is being carried out by another one of his administration’s fellow-travelers, namely his new Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson. “Almost all agree that a child who crossed the border illegally with their parents, or in search of a father or a better life, was not making an adult choice to break our laws, and should be treated differently than adult violators of the law,” Secretary Johnson is quoted as saying…

Jeh Johnson: Welfare State Doesn’t Draw Illegal-Alien Children to U.S. (video)

The services include classroom education, mental and medical health services, case management, socialization and recreation, and “family reunification,” which facilitates the child’s release to a relative or other sponsors.

In May 2014, HHS noted that on average, between 7,000 and 8,000 unaccompanied, undocumented minor children are served annually; but “this number jumped dramatically”  in fiscal year 2012 (Oct. 2011 through Sept. 2012), when 13,625 unaccompanied minors were served by HHS’s Office of Refugee Resettlement…
