Prominent evangelical Eric Metaxas, author of biographies of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and William Wilberforce, quit the Evangelical Immigration Table, the Soros front group that supports the Gang of 8 immigration bill, on Wednesday.
Metaxas sent out two tweets Wednesday afternoon announcing that he had requested the removal of his name from a letter circulated by the Evangelical Immigration Table that contained his signature and the signatures of several other well known evangelical leaders. The letter was a broad statement of faith which the group’s organizers falsely claimed after securing signatures from fellow evangelicals was, in fact, specific support for the passage of the Gang of 8 immigration bill…
