RNC contender’s law firm supports ObamaCare as Constitutional

I’m mostly holding off on posting on the RNC race until January and most of it will likely be done at Big Government. But this via Jim Hoft deserves a quick mention for now.

Reince Priebus’s law firm supports Obamacare and says its constitutional.

It will be interesting to hear what GOP Leader John Boehner, GOP Whip Eric Cantor and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell have to say about this. Is this really teh(sic) person who needs to be leading the RNC for the next two years?

I get it. It’s a law firm. He’s only one partner yadda yadda. But his dissembling on the Stimulus issue was bad enough. Now we learn his firm’s stance on Obamacare is bad, not to mention his personally taking part in an eminent domain lawsuit – on the wrong side for a principled conservative. Then there’s his internship with the NAACP after law school. Everyone knows the politics of the NAACP. Add to that, the dude is only 38 years old and none of this stuff was a lifetime ago. For the most part, we’re talking the last 10 – 12 years. You don’t get from the Leftist NAACP to the RNC in that kind of time frame and have much credibility as a conservative, especially with all this other intervening crap…

…A bad choice will only inflame tensions between the RNC and the base while they’re already at an all time high. The RNC needs to turn a page…
