The Romney campaign raised $1 million dollars in the three hours immediately following the Supreme Court decision to uphold President Barack Obama’s health care reform law, according to a campaign spokesperson’s tweet.
Romney campaign spokesperson Andrea Saul tweeted: “Just crossed $1 million raised for @MittRomney since SCOTUS decision. #FullRepeal.”
The tweet was sent at 1:25 p.m. The Supreme Court decision was handed down around 10:20 a.m.
The massive fundraising haul indicates that the court decision could galvanize Republicans, ultimately helping them, in spite of the court not ruling in their favor.
