On Friday the Examiner reported that informants within the Connecticut state police had contacted gun rights activist and blogger Mike Vanderboegh with an urgent message. “Don’t come to Connecticut anytime soon,” they said, “There’s cops and politicians up here who want you dead.”
Once the shock of such an outrageous and unacceptable attitude on the part of law enforcement officials wears off, stop for a moment and think about the history of the collectivist/statist movement.
Is this anything new? Are they doing anything they haven’t done before once they are firmly ensconced in power?
The progressive movement and its close allies among totalitarians of all stripes — Communists, Nazis, Fascists, Socialists, etc. — has always taken an attitude of marked disdain for ordinary citizens…

He acknowledges the letter was sent out as a basis for the conversation. In a shocking display of arrogance the police Lt. is openly contemptuous of her questions. He refuses to discuss the Constitution (the very Document he took an oath to uphold) and calls her anti-American for daring to defend her fundamental rights…
…It’s safe to say this Lieutenant is the new face of American Fascism. He clearly doesn’t know who he works for (the tax payers) or much care. A sworn police officer who views anyone who asserts their rights as a threat is not someone who should be wearing a badge. He would send his officers door to door to confiscate any weapon deemed “unlawful” and arrest and imprison anyone who dares get in his way. He claims he’s not the Gestapo while conceding to Gestapo logic. It’s truly chilling to hear this nut. He needs to be fired immediately…
