Christmas Day airline bomb suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab has been shown on a video training with Al Qaeda in Yemen.
The video, obtained and broadcast yesterday by ABC World News, shows the 23-year-old Nigerian firing weapons and speaking in Arabic about the impending attack in Detroit, Michigan.
He is shown reading from the Koran and saying: ‘God said those who punish you must be punished.’

In this image released by the ABC NEWS April 26, 2010 shows a new video produced by al Qaeda in Yemen showing the accused underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and others in his training class firing weapons at a desert camp. The footage, aired on ABC’s US evening news, “also includes an apparent martyrdom statement in Arabic from the 23-year-old Nigerian justifying his actions against ‘the Jews and the Christians and their agents,'” the network said in a statement. The young Nigerian allegedly tried to blow up a Detroit-bound plane in an Al-Qaeda plot on December 25.
