President Barack Obama declared in an address to the United Nations that “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.” That was on September 26, 2012, as he lied about the causes of the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya that had killed four Americans. Now, Obama’s government is extending that threat even further.

In its latest effort to protect followers of Islam in the U.S. the Obama Justice Department warns against using social media to spread information considered inflammatory against Muslims, threatening that it could constitute a violation of civil rights…

…Nakoula Nakoula could not be reached for comment, because the Holder Justice Department exiled him to the moon. He’s in one of the most obscure prisons in the United States, partly as a consequence of posting inflammatory materials against Islam on the Internet. So Killian’s not just engaging in idle chatter. This government has already done what he is explicitly threatening to do more of.

People post inflammatory material against Christians on the Internet every day. They have nothing to worry about though, either from Christians or from the US government.

Oh, and let’s all just imagine the uproar that would ensue if the nominally secular Department of Justice held a meeting sponsored by, say, the Catholic League in which the topic was to warn everyone else that saying bad things about Catholics on the Internet could bring the wrath of the federal government down on you. Only Islam gets this preferential treatment.

It’s difficult not to get seriously radicalized when the government goes this far off the rails…

…I might say that the “us versus them” attitude certainly seems to be fostered within the Muslim community itself, but I can’t, because, as you’ll see, US Attorney Bill Killian wants me to know he might put me in jail for saying that…

…Nevertheless, what we have here is a US Attorney telling Americans that they can be arrested and imprisoned for the exercise of their First Amendment rights…

At The Right Scoop there’s video of The One last autumn telling the U.N. General Assembly that Benghazi was the fault of Nakoula Basseley Nakoula’s stupid video and that Americans won’t be permitted to say bad things about Muslims:

“The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.”

At WorldNetDaily, DOJ: Slam Muslims on Facebook, face feds

Bloggers beware. And those who use email, too. And those on Facebook. And Twitter. And anyone else using social media: Diss a Muslim and the Department of Justice will be on your case with the full weight of federal law.

The Obama administration, which is launching a series of Muslim Outreach Summits so that Islamists can tell federal officials how they better can serve that community, says it also is holding educational outreaches to let people know that Internet postings that violate civil rights are subject to federal prosecution.

Bill Killian, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, is scheduled to appear at an event sponsored by the American Muslim Advisory Council of Tennessee next week, and will “provide input on how civil rights can be violated by those who post inflammatory documents targeted at Muslims on social media,” according to a report in the Tullahoma News in Tennessee...

Update: Obama to Muslims: Tell me what you want ‘Outreach summits’ launched, 1st stop Chicago

A series of Muslim Outreach Summits are planned coast-to-coast by the Obama administration to get feedback from Muslims on how the government can better serve them and their specific desires.

The president’s adopted home town of Chicago will be the first stop.

WND initially discovered documents referring to the Muslim summits while examining a U.S. Department of Education procurement of data-gathering and report-writing services.

The services are specific to information being assembled by the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, or WHIAAPI, which Obama created via executive order in 2009.

Upon closer inspection, however, WND learned that the Education Department explicitly will direct the selected contractor to chronicle findings and recommendations gleaned from the Muslim Outreach Summits…

Take this lesson: Pianist convicted of insulting Islam in a tweet speaks out on “lost freedoms in Turkey”

…The 43-year-old went on trial in October accused of denigrating Islam in a series of tweets earlier last year. In one message he retweeted a verse from a poem by Omar Khayyám in which the 11th-century Persian poet attacks pious hypocrisy: “You say rivers of wine flow in heaven, is heaven a tavern to you? You say two huris [companions] await each believer there, is heaven a brothel to you?” In other tweets, he made fun of a muezzin (a caller to prayer) and certain religious practices.

Artists and intellectuals have repeatedly been targeted in Turkey for voicing their opinions, and Say’s case has renewed concerns about the Turkish government’s stance towards freedom of expression. The composer has been a vocal critic of the ruling AK party and Turkey’s prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan…

Update 2: Arlen Williams of Gulag Bound responded, in part…:

Dear Facebook and the Federal Bureau of Investigation:

1. Islam is an inherently evil religiopolitical movement with the goal of subjugating the world according to its demonic ideology.

2. Eric Holder’s “Department of Justice” is turning into a police-state tool of the worldwide Marxofascist, despotic, pseudo-elitists behind “Global Governance.”…

…PS: Hello Americans. Is it treason if you don’t recognize a war is being waged?

Can we be prosecuted now for copying his post?

Update 3:   Ted Cruz: Obama does not respect First, Second, Fourth or Fifth Amendments

…Cruz cited the “unprecedented” investigations of reporters and Holder’s response to the Fast and Furious scandal as examples of the Justice Department disregarding the law.

“Unfortunately, I think it’s part and parcel of a pattern from this administration of not respecting the Bill of Rights,” Cruz added. “Not respecting the First Amendment, not respecting the Second Amendment, not respecting our Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights regarding drone strikes, regarding the IRS.”

Cruz added that it was a disturbing pattern of behavior from the White House…

CAJ note: Our nation’s Jewish citizens probably wish they had the same measure of  protection by a concerned DOJ. Alas, they generally haven’t…
