…The war for gay rights has been won, and that’s basically fine by me. But there are a few holdouts — most famously devout Christian wedding planners, florists, photographers, and bakers — who don’t want to be part of such things. Why a gay couple would want a photographer who is morally opposed to their wedding to snap pictures of it is a mystery to me.
But we live in an age where non-compliance with the Left’s agenda must be cast as bigotry. Everyone is free to celebrate as instructed. This is what liberals think liberty means today.

…Look, I get it, sometimes it’s hard to fit all the information and nuance you might like into headlines and ledes. But accurately reporting the story would just require replacing “customers” with “weddings” in the lede (it’s one fewer letter!) and adding about seven letters to the headline. We can do that, it’s the Internet.
Might the pizzeria not have been the target of the two minutes’ hate Jonah describes below if reporting on this story were accurate? Who knows, but it’s not really an excuse either way…

Connecticut is boycotting Indiana. New York state, too. Gay athletes plan to protest the NCAA Finals in Indianapolis. Angie’s List is upset. Wal-Mart is upset. NASCAR is disappointed. And the Indianapolis Star is demanding the state FIX THIS NOW. Harrumph.
The facts do not matter. Clinton and the Democratic Party passed the same law in 1993? Doesn’t matter. Supreme Court upheld the Clinton law? 19 other states passed the same law? Doesn’t matter. There is no mention of gay in the law? Doesn’t matter.
This is another power grab by the left based on wicked lies. They want to strip away the freedom of religion. Indeed, America’s left wants to do what they did in the Soviet Union and get rid of religion altogether…
