A gorgeous pin-up girl who was hard-working, funny, smart. A legendary woman ahead of her time; a humanitarian, and a conservative, evidently. One quote we read:
“These days [2003] I’m a teetotal, mean-spirited, right-wing, narrow-minded, conservative Christian bigot, but not a racist,” she told an Australian newspaper, The Daily Mail, in 2003. Bigotry, she added, “just means you don’t have an open mind.”
Jane Russell has died. She was 89 years old.
