A big part of Obamacare is in British hands.

And the news in Friday’s New York Times came with exquisite, if unremarked, timing.

Under the headline, “Big Contract Is Awarded to Administer Health Rollout,”

The Times reported:

“Racing to meet an October deadline, Obama administration officials said Thursday that they had awarded a contract worth as much as $1.2 billion to a British company to help them sift applications for health insurance and tax credits under the new health-care law.”

So someone confirmed the White House had selected a British company to take over America’s health-care system … on the Fourth of July.

Historical irony aside, the story isn’t without other misgivings…

In other employment news, Russian Troops To “Help” With American Disasters On American Soil?

We’ve known that Russian troops have been in America for some time, allegedly being trained by American troops. Now it appears that FEMA has entered into an agreement with the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry. The reason is ostensibly to “provide security at mass events in the United States.”

Remember all those articles on the Obama Administration questioning whether or not military commanders would be willing to use live ammunition to fire on American citizens on American soil? You also probably remember the articles about Sheriffs throughout the United States who have publicly stated that they would not support any laws they believe are unconstitutional, especially where the 2ndAmendment is concerned. This places them in direct opposition to the federal government.

What we are now hearing about may well be the Obama Administration’s response to these issues…

Remember back when the scandals were erupting from the grounds surrounding the IRS, the spying on the Associated Press, and the revelations learned from the Benghazi hearings?

Yes, seems like it was a quiet time, doesn’t it? A halcyon time before the veil was lifted on the abrogation of the 4th Amendment and the fact that your privacy is now not your own.

Lost among the tumult back then (less than two months ago, folks!) was the little noticed fact that HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius had been out fundraising for the Affordable Care Act.  At the time, I called it “The HHS Needs Money-Gate.”

The Diocese of Pittsburgh has questions about all the money grubbing going on too, and they wonder if it has anything to do with the intransigence of the Administration. So they filed a lawsuit….

Update: Only 47% of Americans have full-time jobs

…Of the 144 million Americans employed last month, only 116 million were working full-time. Friday’s report showed that 58.7% of the civilian adult population of 245 million was working last month. Only 47% of Americans, however, had a full-time job.

The market’s positive reaction to Friday’s report is another sign of how far our economic expectations have fallen…
