Here is complete video of President Obama’s speech today to the United Nations in New York City. Obama praised recently slain U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, but never mentioned that he was killed by a Terrorist attack on September 11 in Benghazi, Libya. Instead of talking about the continuing terrorist threat facing the world, he talked about the offensive anti-Islamic video that Obama said has “inflamed the Muslim World.”

Obama: “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam” at HotAir.

…for some reason, the president felt the need to bring in, criticize, and apologize for the YouTube video that we’re to believe was the catalyst that sparked these inexcusable recent events — even though, really, that video is not what any of this is or should be about at all, and I’m not really sure why it’s something the president feels the continual need to explain away…

…if we believe that all people have a right to express their views, even ones with which we disagree, why are we still talking about this dumb video? The video is not the point. The Obama administration has already had to revise their original version of the chaos in Libya and labeled it as the terrorism that it was, but President Obama conspicuously failed to mention terrorism in relation to Libya in his speech. Why do I feel like this was a speech designed to sound so-so on promoting our American values but simultaneously pander to the people who would criticize us for them? There was an opportunity for a real display of strength and courage here in the wake of all of this unacceptable violence, and the president declined to take it…

…“Here’s the last part: Crisis. It is planned. It is in The Project. There will come a time for global jihad. They’ve just been positioning their troops. They just need to soften us enough, get in, make us ready to snap and then have the crisis. The crisis is here. The crisis is called the Arab Spring. But beyond that there is an economic, a global economic crisis that is coming. They know it. They helped plan it. And the easiest, the easiest way to win it is to use that crisis that they created but blame it on hate. Blame it on a movie that came out in the summertime but was released strategically to fall in line with what they needed. I mean, that’s what’s happening, gang,” Glenn concluded.

Update:  Iran test fires missiles as Obama speaks at UN

Today, as President Barack Obama spoke at the United Nations, Iran test-fired a series of four missiles specifically created to hit warships in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the Iranian government, the missiles hit a target the size of a ship, sinking it within 50 seconds. Iranian media also reported that the military exercise was designed to occur coincident with US naval maneuvers in the Persian Gulf. The Iranian military stated that their navy would be holding a “massive” maneuver shortly…

Update 2:  Obama to UN: It’s Not My Fault Stevens is Dead

Passing the buck in dramatic fashion on the world stage, President Barack Obama told the UN General Assembly this morning that the U.S. government was not responsible for the anti-Islam video that he once again blamed for recent attacks on U.S. embassies in the Middle East. He added that more guards at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi would not have helped save Ambassador Chris Stevens, and that the real problem was “deeper causes” such as religious intolerance…

…Obama added that the U.S. could not “ban” the video, because the “Constitution protects the right to practice free speech.” He did not mention that his administration’s policy is, in fact, that such speech can be restricted, and that the U.S. had co-sponsored a resolution with Egypt at the UN Human Rights Council in 2009 that would allow Islamist governments to ban such videos and claim they had the full support of the United States…

Also, Obama: “It will not be enough to put more guards in front of an embassy”

…In a speech Obama framed as a tribute to Chris Stevens, our murdered Libyan ambassador, the only mention the President made of the appalling and preventable security failures that left our ambassador, consulate, and three other Americans  so vulnerable, was this bizarre and heartless passage…

Update 3Amateur Webzine Slate: The Hostile Reaction of Backwards Cultures To Free Expression Proves We Overvalue Free Expression

…[A]mericans need to learn that the rest of the world—and not just Muslims—see no sense in the First Amendment. Even other Western nations take a more circumspect position on freedom of expression than we do, realizing that often free speech must yield to other values and the need for order. Our own history suggests that they might have a point…
