WASHINGTON — CNN aired graphic videos of victims Saturday that it said were shown to select US lawmakers as part of a push to shore up support for a strike on Syria.

The broadcaster said the 13 videos were shown Thursday to members of the Senate Intelligence Committee who were told they depict victims of an August 21 chemical weapons attack in the war-torn country.

Excerpts depict convulsing children and men sprawled on the floor apparently vomiting and foaming at the mouth.

Note below from FNC Catherine Herridge.  WHO released classified tapes tells you a great deal:

To add – Office of the Director National Intelligence (ODNI – nation’s intelligence chief) told Fox the intelligence community did not release the tapes.

“Neither ODNI nor anyone in the IC released the tapes.”

This is more evidence, as Ed [Henry] rightly suggests, the release is politically driven, by the administration to bolster it case to the public for limited military action.

This is rare.

Rep. Alan Grayson: Syria Intelligence Manipulated

Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., who is aggressively lobbying against a military strike on Syria, says the Obama administration has manipulated intelligence to push its case for U.S. involvement in the country’s two-year civil war.

He says members of Congress are being given intelligence briefings without any evidence to support administration claims that Syrian leader Bashar Assad ordered the use of chemical weapons.

Grayson said he cannot discuss the classified briefings, but noted details in the administration’s public, non-classified report are being contested…

Another video, just as horrific. Syria Video Turns the Debate on U.S. Intervention

The raw video was so grisly, and so barbaric, that the New York Times staffers who watched and edited it for online publication were made “physically ill,” according to the newspaper’s spokeswoman…

…The scene of Syrian rebels standing over seven soldiers of the Syrian regular army while the rebel commander recited a bloodthirsty poem—and pointing rifles and a pistol at the heads of their prostrate, shirtless, and badly beaten prisoners—was shocking enough. Times video editors tactfully blackened the screen as the rebels—who, just like the United States government, oppose the regime of dictator Bashar al-Assad—began to execute the soldiers; the only indication of the slaughter taking place was a noisy fusillade of 10 seconds in length. Then an image flashed of the broken bodies in a mass grave…
