Rep. Ryan Zinke (R., Mont.), a retired Navy SEAL, plans to confront President Obama about his administration’s failure to confront the Islamic State (IS, also known as ISIS or ISIL) when newly elected members of Congress visit the White House.

Zinke, the first Navy SEAL in the House of Representatives, said that the White House needs to come to terms with the terrorist group’s increasing influence in the Middle East. The Montana congressman contrasted Obama’s attitude to that of Jordanian King Abdullah II, who vowed to fight IS “till we run out of bullets” in a meeting with the Zinke and members of the House Armed Services Committee on Tuesday.

“The King of Jordan needs the Obama Administration to take this threat seriously and the Jordanian people need our help. Even the King of Jordan realizes this is as much of an Islamic civil war as it is a war against the West, yet the president refuses to use the words Islamic terrorism,” Zinke told the Washington Free Beacon on Wednesday. “I plan on relaying this message tonight when I visit the White House and the Cabinet.”

Video emerged Tuesday showing a captured Jordanian pilot burned alive by IS radicals…

Jordan’s King Abdullah, himself a former general, angrily vowed to pursue ISIS until his military runs “out of fuel and bullets,” in a closed door meeting with U.S. lawmakers that followed the release Wednesday of a grisly video showing a captured Jordanian airman being burned alive in a cage by the terrorist army…

…Jordan faces increasing threats from the militants. Jordan borders areas of the group’s self-declared caliphate in Syria and Iraq, while there are have been signs of greater support for the group’s militant ideas among Jordan’s young and poor…

Obama defends Islam in his remarks about Jordanian pilot being burned alive by Islamic State (video)

…Whatever ideology they are operating under is “bankrupt.” Whatever ideology? That’s his default narrative in the wake of jihadi attacks. Scrubbing, whitewashing and sanitizing Islam.

As for “bankrupt,” the Islamic State is the richest Islamic terrorist group in the world. And their daily oil revenues are in the millions.

The Islamic State was quoting quran chapter and verse, and that’s all Obama can come up with? “Whatever ideology.”…

Update: Michael Yon:

“Jordan vows ‘relentless’ war against ISIS after pilot burnt alive”

This is a perilous time for Jordan and for the King. Jordan needs to drop the hammer on D’aesh — with our support — but Jordan and the King cannot afford to slip into some pit of massive barbarity as has happened in Syria with Assad.

All the current international support can quickly evaporate if Jordan is seen as merely a bigger barbarian with better guns.

Remember what happened after 9/11. We the USA had massive international support. And then we were seen as the bad guys for various reasons, like Abu Ghraib, etc. etc., and our support rapidly evaporated.

Assad is fighting D’aesh, but Assad and his regime have also committed massive war crimes, so they are not getting much support.

Jordan needs to help us crush D’aesh, but careful… Even savages like D’aesh can magically turn the tables back. (Amazing but true.)

Good luck to the Jordanians. We should support Jordan.

Jordan’s King May Participate Personally In ISIS Raids

Jordan’s King Abdullah ibn al-Hussein, who has trained as a pilot, may fly a bomber himself on Thursday in the country’s retaliation against the ISIS.

Several Arabic-language newspapers reported late Wednesday that the monarch would personally participate in bombing raids on the terrorist group, citing his vow Tuesday to “strike them in their strongholds.”…
