Amidst suggestions that President Obama to replace his gaffe-prone running mate Joe Biden, the pair is scheduled to meet with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at the White House this morning.
No other details were released about the meeting which is closed to the press.
Later in the afternoon, Obama and Biden are scheduled to meet for lunch at the White House.
President Obama dismissed the notion last night in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“We don’t spend a lot of time worrying about the chatter and the noise and this and that,” he said, adding that “the country isn’t as divided with gaffes or some stray remark as Washington is.”
