Thanks to our “cheap as chips” subscription with MLB.com we’re able to listen to games online. This afternoon, it’s a close game between Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Francisco Giants. We don’t particularly follow this league, but we’re listening all the same! At this time of year it doesn’t matter if it’s our team, or Cal’s Tortilla Hut vs Jimmy’s Garage, or anyone of the local Babe Ruth teams.
It’s baseball and that means Spring. After this Winter, Spring will be most deeply appreciated. Baseball has a rhythm that slows the pace life a for a couple of hours, and many of us will benefit from that. Yes, the world is on fire. Yes, the problems we’re facing are cataclysmic. All the more reason to savor our good, good American life for a few hours more, listening to a baseball game.
