We’ve now reached the “Watergate” stage of the Justina Pelletier debacle: What does Gov. Deval Patrick know and when did he know it?

Justina is the former Tufts Medical Center mitochondrial patient seized by Boston Children’s Hospital and the state Department of Children and Families, who turned her into a somatoform subject. After reports in these pages Friday that she was being denied the opportunity to attend Easter Mass with her devoutly Catholic family, Patrick rushed out a letter to state Rep. Marc Lombardo (R-Billerica) about accommodations DCF was making.

“I see in your letter that you continue to misunderstand the role of the commonwealth in Justina’s case,” Patrick wrote the representative. Justina is in DCF custody because “a judge ruled that her parents were unfit to care for her” in February 2013. “[A] decision,” Patrick wrote, “based on a detailed record of the history of neglect in the home.”

Wait … what? What “detailed record”? What “history of neglect in the home”? Where did that come from?…

…There is a Connecticut girl trapped in a temporary psych ward, not even allowed the same unsupervised family visits the Boston Marathon bomber is being granted — all over a disputed medical diagnosis? How is that possible?…

Update: Rev. Mahoney Confronts Gov. Patrick On Pelletier Case–With MUST-WATCH Video!

Gov. Patrick is a man without even a modicum of shame. For the guy who runs the DCF that is responsible for seizing Justina Pelletier in the first place to say that he can’t get her released is just ridiculous. One phone call– “Hey, Olga–tell the judge we’re withdrawing our objections and will not contest the Pelletier’s request to take their daughter home”–and this case is done.(Or at least back under the authority of the state of Connecticut).

If you don’t understand how Deval can look in the camera and lie like this, you don’t know Patrick…

…Judge Johnston didn’t go looking for this case. He didn’t go out and investigate it. He’s only reacting to claims and demands being made by Deval Patrick’s administration. Now Deval is looking around and asking “Hey–why’s everybody lookin’ at me?”

The shamelessness is simply breathtaking.
