Consider this; After the news about Tebow’s 316 yards got out, there were millions of google searches for John 3:16. If someone is googling the verse that means a) they probably don’t own a Bible and b) they aren’t familiar with what it says. So over the past 24 hours, possibly more people than during any other 24 hour period in the history of the world, were reading for the first time (or at the same time) that “..God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life“.
Proof that God works in mysterious ways? I say, yes!
