Reid: People who support Bundy are 'domestic terrorists'

I know. We’re just as shocked as you are. ~CAJ

As the Examiner has already noted previously, U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., Senate Majority Leader, referred to rancher Cliven Bundy as a “domestic terrorist.” But Reid has now included anyone who supports Bundy in that wide swath of malicious and deadly character assassination.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal,

U.S. Sen. Harry Reid on Thursday called supporters of Bunkerville rancher Cliven Bundy “domestic terrorists” because they defended him against a Bureau of Land Management cattle roundup with guns and put their children in harm’s way.

“They’re nothing more than domestic terrorists,” Reid said during an appearance at a Las Vegas Review-Journal “Hashtags & Headlines” event at the Paris. “I repeat: what happened there was domestic terrorism.”

A few key questions are in order for the Senator. How have Bundy’s actions put him in the same league with Timothy McVeigh, Bill Ayers, or Bernandine Dohrn?…

…Reid says that Bundy broke laws by failing to pay for grazing fees on federal land. My, what a hardened criminal. And for that heinous act he must “pay the price” whatever that means. Well, Mr. Reid, you yourself have broken numerous laws in your zeal to subvert the Constitution to your stench of a progressive vision. So have your colleagues in Congress. You are all lawbreakers. The Attorney General is a law breaker, and he was cited for it when he lied to Congress. The President himself is also a law breaker, failing on numerous occasions to comply with direct court orders.

Thus, as our Founders warned over 200 years ago, when despots somehow creep into public office and enact laws that fly in the face of the Constitution, then those laws are automatically null and void and are to be disobeyed. Not only that but why should citizens have any respect for what you, Mr. Reid, call “the rule of law” when the very government you are a part of ignores the rule of law every single day?

The citizens have lost respect for the law because they see lawlessness on your part and on the part of your colleagues every single day. And for you to have to unmitigated gall to refer to us as “domestic terrorists” is a slap in the face of our Founders, our Constitution, the Bill of rights, and every decent citizen who has ever walked on this land.

Update: Charles Koch Leads Harry Reid in Potential 2016 Matchup

…Voters in 2016 may not get the Koch-Reid presidential matchup many are hoping for, but it is reassuring to know that Iowans would prefer the successful businessman who has created tens of thousands of jobs, donated hundreds of millions of dollars to charity, and dedicated his life to preserving the principles of economic freedom in this country, over the multi-millionaire whose first election to political office predates the moon landing.

Update 2: Who’d Have Thought This Could Lead To Criminal Charges Against BLM?

…The agency was apparently so preoccupied with removing the cattle from the ranch in an effort to punish the Bundys that its agents disregarded safe protocol. Michele Fiore, a Nevada assemblywoman who has been on the front lines in defending the ranch against the government’s excessive force, detailed the atrocities she said occurred on the property.

After posting a number of photos of dead cows, she appeared on the Pete Santilli radio show to offer some context. She said officers shot cattle from the air as they flew overhead in helicopters, explaining numerous calves were left defenseless after their mothers were taken down or displaced.

“I personally helped save a calf who still had an umbilical cord attached to her as she was separated from her mom,” Fiore said.

She called the ordeal “disgusting,” explaining BLM agents “don’t herd cattle, they slaughter cattle.”

Attempts to move the livestock by force led to countless preventable deaths, she said…
