We’re now trying to replace the video from other sources or to locate a written transcript from a reliable source. We did find this article by Cliff Kincaid at Accuracy in Media about the video, and a brief clip on YouTube, below.

Rev Jeremiah Wright (introduced by Robert McChesney) speaking at the 60th anniversary celebration of the independent socialist magazine Monthly Review. The event was held on September 17th, 2009, at the New York Society for Ethical Culture in New York City.
REVEREND WRIGHT: Grateful for the opportunity to bring you a word of Thanksgiving from those who don’t ordinarily get a hearing unless they go along with the program, sing in tune with whatever is the popular tune and stay in lockstep with the political pundits who tell us what is politically correct, what is permissible and what will be tolerated from a person of color in this land, the land of the greed and the home of the brave excuse me, the land of the greed and home of the slave…
From GlennBeck.com:
McChesney (editor of ‘Free Press’)…is a guy who says that capitalism needs to be broken apart and taken apart, dismantled brick by brick. Well, the openly socialist, Marxist magazine Monthly Review just had a conference last month…
…’The land of the greed and home of the slave.’ May I ask a serious question, and I’m not being flippant: Why? Why would you live here in America if this is the way you felt about America? Why? I mean, I would honestly like an answer to that question.
There are socialist regimes out there, there are Marxist, communist governments where your ideals are being upheld, right? Why not go to Venezuela unless, unless you would like to see Venezuela come here? Unlike those communist countries, there is no wall around this country keeping anybody in. Have you noticed that there used to be something before the total collapse of their economy called an iron curtain around those? How about the area we referred to behind the Berlin wall? Thousands, maybe millions tried to escape the oppression, the misery wrought by Jeremiah Wright’s precious Marxism. And if they were caught trying to escape, they were shot.
Seriously, America, what has happened to us? This kind of rhetoric used to be reviled and now it is permeating the White House! These people hid in the shadows and rightly so in America. They represented everything that was abhorrent to Americans. But here is the man who married Barack Obama to the first lady Michele Obama, baptized their children. Here is the man that Obama listened to for 20 years over and over and over again, and it is not a problem?…
