As Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s hold on power slips away, waiting in the wings is the officially illegal, but powerful Muslim Brotherhood group that undoubtedly will seek to steer Egypt’s future in a more radical direction.
Power Line points out that the Obama Administration is sending signals that they welcome the Muslim Brotherhood’s involvement in leading Egypt’s future – although they must renounce violence, according to the White House. When Obama gave a speech in Cairo in 2009, he even invited the Brotherhood’s attendance at the speech.
