I’m Having an Apocalypse Now Moment
The insanity of the war in Afghanistan has reached boiling:
“President Barack Obama apologized to Afghan President Hamid Karzai for the burning of Qurans by NATO troops…”We will take the appropriate steps to avoid any recurrence, including holding accountable those responsible,” Obama said in the letter.

This is too ridiculous for me to not show this. Here’s a screen shot from the CNN homepage. Notice at the top…

…Then compare that to the top headline on the left…
“Obama apologizes over Afghanistan Quran burnings”
…Do you notice something awry here? We have Qurans being burned on one side, and American solders (people) being killed on the other, yet our President apologizes over the Quran’s. I understand diplomacy but what is more important here, American lives or Qurans? We’ve apologized for burning the Quran’s but are we to expect an apology from the Afghani ruling class over committing murder? Something tells me that we won’t, thus giving us the proverbial sly grin as though we somehow deserved it. This tragedy is a microcosm for what has characterized the radical Islamists in Afghanistan during this entire operation; blatant overreactions to an otherwise foolish decision…
