President Obama’s White House will honor illegal immigrant activists at a ceremony Tuesday.

Two activists with the group Mi Familia Vota Education Fund will be honored as “Champions of Change” Mi Familia Vota Education Fund at a special White House ceremony.

Fernanda Zaragoza-Gomez, 19, a Colorado Mi Familia Vota canvasser, and Steven Arteaga Rodriguez, a Texas activist with the group, are both “DREAMers” who began their activism careers after applying for and gaining Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), a program established by Obama to provide living and working status for undocumented young immigrants.

The activist group, which has offices in six states, works for the goal of “expanding the electorate” through “direct, sustainable citizenship, voter registration, census education, GOTV and issue organizing in key states.”

Mi Familia Vota’s board of directors includes labor leader Eliseo Medina, who said in a 2010 speech that immigration reform will create a long-term progressive “governing coalition.”…

…“This influx of people is a direct result of recent policies,” Vaughn said. “According to border patrol’s own intelligence, what the immigrants are telling them, is that they’re coming now because there’s a new law that gives them permission to stay.”

When Fox 25 questioned Mass. Gov. Duval Patrick about the flights, he said he was just hearing about the situation.

“I don’t know anything about it,” Patrick said.

“How does the governor not know anything about this?” the news anchor asked…

On immigrant surge, White House story falls apart

…As it turns out, the Republican explanation does withstand a whole lot of scrutiny. Recent days have been filled with anecdotal reports, from local news outlets in Central America to major American newspapers, citing immigrants who say they came because they believe U.S. law has been changed to allow them to stay. And now comes word that Border Patrol agents in the most heavily-trafficked area of the surge, the Rio Grande Valley sector of Texas, recently questioned 230 illegal immigrants about why they came. The results showed overwhelmingly that the immigrants, including those classified as UACs, or unaccompanied children, were motivated by the belief that they would be allowed to stay in the United States — and not by conditions in their homelands…

Contrary to Media Narrative, 95% of Illegal Immigrants Say They Came for New Amnesty Promise

…Of course, this won’t be reported by the mainstream media, which has so much invested in advancing the aims of the Obama administration. Instead, the American people will be fooled into thinking that pushing “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” will solve the crisis.

The bitter reality is that these illegals are rewarded with a “path to citizenship,” it will only encourage many more to make the long. dangerous trek.

Obama’s Illegal Alien Amnesty Brings Gangs, Gun Violence to US

…Border Patrol officials struggling to keep up with the increasing number of minors illegally crossing the Mexican border are not turning away persons with known gang affiliations. Chris Cabrera, vice president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 3307 in the Rio Grande Valley, explained that a Border Patrol agent he represents helped reunite a teenage gang member with his family in the United States.

Cabrera notes the young member of Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), a transnational criminal gang, had no criminal record in the U.S., but asks, “If he’s a confirmed gang member in his own country, why are we letting him in here?”…

Obama to Border Patrol: Don’t discuss illegal alien children with media

…instead of at least interviewing the suspected gang members, agents were ordered to treat them as if they were child refugees entering the country for asylum. Many of the children are being reunited with their parents or other family members already in the U.S., but the Obama administration is forcing states such as Texas and Arizona to “share the burden.”

It’s believed that at least 50,000 illegal aliens children have crossed into the U.S. from Mexico without restraint by Mexican authorities who are renowned for being brutal to illegal aliens entering Mexico from the south.

‘It wasn’t until Arizona’s Gov. Jan Brewer started to condemn the unimpeded influx of illegal aliens, especially the children, that the news media began covering the “Pied Paper invasion” of Latino children from countries other than Mexico,” according to an Examiner news story
