Predictably, the Left is still freaking out over the $75,000 per couple Romney fundraiser hosted at the Southhampton home of Julia and David Koch. You know, the fundraiser that’s totally different than the $40,000 per person Obama fundraisers scheduled today.

Spare us the contrived outrage over Romney’s “secret” fundraisers with millionaires…

…what is worst about CNN’s interview with Shaxson is that Costello allowed him to make a serious accusation against Mitt Romney–namely, that he had violated U.S. tax laws–without providing a single piece of evidence. The accusation was neither rebutted nor contextualized. Viewed against the broad sweep of CNN’s anti-Romney coverage this morning–neatly matching the Obama campaign’s talking points–it is clear that CNN is more than “in the tank” for the president: it is willing to lie for him.

…Maybe it’s just me but I’m thinking if Mitt Romney had a similar problem, if he owed taxes, or had a big penalty or had to go to court to defend such issues we might just have heard about it during the Massachusetts Gov Campaign, or during his Senate Campaign vs Ted Kennedy, or the 2008 Presidential Campaign, or even in the primaries in 2012…
…but we haven’t….
