Classified docs found in Petraeus mistress Broadwell’s home; Admits she took from ‘secure’ government buildings

…Whoa.
As Twitchy reported, the FBI went into Paula Broadwell’s home on Monday night. Evidently, with good reason. Classified documents were found on Broadwell’s computer earlier. How about in her home?
…Classified documents were found in her home and the FBI is re-opening its probe.
Broadwell has also admitted to taking the documents … from “secure” government buildings.
The questions keep coming. Why was the FBI probe dropped? And now re-opened? Who knew what, and when?…

Rush lays out why Petraeus isn’t going to contradict himself and summarily throw Obama under the bus. But even if he does, says Rush, it will leak and the media will destroy him.
Here is video from President Obama’s Press Conference today, his first in 8 months, where he was confronted by Fox News’ Ed Henry about Benghazi. Henry asked him if he issued any orders to send help to the Americans under attack at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, pointing out that the father of one of the dead said he feels like his son dialed 911 and got no help. Obama avoided the question, with Henry following up, not letting him off the hook. Obama used his “offended” response, saying “if anyone thinks” he didn’t do everything possible blah, blah, blah. But he never described any specific orders to send help – which was in the region – to help the Americans who where under attack for many hours.
Here is video of President Obama playing the offended party (one of his specialties) at his Press Conference today after being asked to respond to news that Sen. John McCain and Sen. Lindsey Graham will do everything they can to block a nomination of Susan Rice to be the Secretary of State in his second term. Obama said the two senators should “go after me” and not Rice because of her false comments that the attack was caused by a video.
Lindsey Graham has already responded to Obama:
“Mr. President, don’t think for one minute I don’t hold you ultimately responsible for Benghazi. I think you failed as Commander in Chief before, during, and after the attack.
We owe it to the American people and the victims of this attack to have full, fair hearings and accountability be assigned where appropriate. Given what I know now, I have no intention of promoting anyone who is up to their eyeballs in the Benghazi debacle.”
Over at American Power Blog Professor Donald Douglas is not impressed.
…She also notes Obama’s “paternalistic” performance, pretending to be the Big Man come to rescue a Damsel In Distress from Villains. This account overlooks the fact that Obama sent out Rice to lie — the Big Hero put the Damsel in Distress for his own selfish purposes– and that Kelly Ayotte, who’s also a woman, is one of those asking questions about Rice.
Finally, she notes the central dishonesty of this pose: Of course we’d like to ask Obama questions, and “come after” him. But he won’t answer questions. Instead, he dangles us Rice…
Sarah Palin on Barack Obama’s Post Re-election Presser
…Sarah Palin’s take, via Facebook…
Who is running our country? We’ve got a CIA Director sharing security info with his mistress using an unsecure gmail account. We’ve got the delusional Susan Rice blaming the death of an ambassador on a Youtube video. We’ve got Iran firing on one of our drones a week before the election. We’ve got the White House either ignorant of or covering up all of this. Who is minding the store?…
Petraeus to Testify on Benghazi Behind Closed Doors
Former CIA Director David Petraeus has agreed to testify behind closed doors this week in separate appearances before the House and Senate Intelligence Committees about the attack on the American mission in Benghazi, Libya.
The Hill reported late Wednesday that Petraeus will testify before the House Intelligence Committee on Friday, and his Senate testimony will be given either Thursday or Friday.
Petraeus is offering his testimony voluntarily but has apparently received assurances that he will not be questioned about the details of the extramarital affair that brought about his resignation.
Earlier reports speculated that Petraeus might offer his testimony “off-site,” but it’s unclear now whether the testimony before both committees will take place on Capitol Hill or elsewhere.
Update: Bill O’Reilly Talks With Jennifer Griffin About Petraeus Sex Scandal
First, check Allahpundit’s post at Hot Air, “Bill Kristol: A source tells me Petraeus wasn’t completely honest in his Benghazi briefing to Congress.” There’s video at the link. Apparently Kristol claims a source told him that General Petraeus mentioned during his first congressional testimony on Benghazi that the administration’s version of the events — the anti-Muslim video story — didn’t square with the CIA’s own intelligence, and that Petraeus wasn’t sure which version he should spout when going before the congressional committee. That a big story, which we’ll know a lot more about once Petraeus again goes before Congress…
Professor Douglas continues, “A stay with the video until the end. Griffin also discusses the issues with a military stand-down at the order of the White House…” Read the whole thing.

Update 2: Kelly Ayotte: The Invisible Senator at the Benghazi event
…[Sen. Kelly Ayotte] gave a strong statement on the situation and answered questions as well.
You would think it’s kind of hard to ignore Kelly Ayotte at that event, She is tall (she towered over both Senators McCain & Graham) but she is a younger, photogenic woman who had a strong interest in this matter. I’d think that would be something to play up instead of just “two old white guys”.
I suggest that is exactly WHY she is left out…
…I submit and suggest that a conservative woman who is a rising star is exactly who the left and the media doesn’t want highlighted and a real effort is going to made to continue to downplay her and keep her unnoticed. And of course if she is left out, then it is two old white guys beating up on Susan Rice a woman of color, but if Kelly Ayotte is making points like this…
Read the whole thing. Because the media has nothing to do with fabricating the so-called Republican “war on women.” But the “optics”, as they say in the military, mean everything.
