Two of Louisiana’s favorite sons brought some holiday cheer to our men and women in uniform deployed to Afghanistan. Willie and Jep Robertson joined JCS Chairman and U.S. Army General Martin E. Dempsey and other celebrities on a week-long USO tour.
The group has been visiting bases in Afghanistan over the past few days, meeting soldiers, signing autographs, and taking pictures. Willie Robertson, who has been floated as a Republican candidate for a Louisiana Congressional seat, even joined Gen. Dempsey on stage to give a rousing performance of Robertson’s song “Hairy Christmas.”
