Darren Wilson, the police officer who shot and killed teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., spoke publicly for the first time Tuesday. In an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, Wilson recounted the scene on Aug. 9 when he encountered Brown and an altercation ensued. A St. Louis County grand jury decided not to indict Wilson on Monday, sparking riots in Ferguson and demonstrations in cities across America.

“Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Sunday stunned audiences when he explained how he is “disappointed” that the focus in Ferguson, Missouri, is on the majority of the police force being white, rather than violence between African-Americans.
The conversation erupted when “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd began discussing the disproportion of white police forces to the communities they serve in areas across the U.S. aside from Ferguson, including Newark, New Jersey and El Paso, Texas. ”All of those places could become future Fergusons,” Todd said.
Giuliani quickly pivoted the conversation, arguing “the fact is, I find it very disappointing that you’re not discussing the fact that 93% of blacks in America are killed by other blacks. Last night in Ferguson was merely an extension of this strategy, as instigators in Guy Fawkes masks and others made sure this opportunity to riot didn’t pass quietly in the night.

Confirmed: Valerie Jarrett Keeping in Touch With Gov. Nixon During Ferguson Fiasco
…“Valerie spoke to Governor Nixon both last night and this morning, and has been briefing the President on an ongoing basis since last night,” Schultz said, speaking to reporters on Air Force One. “And in each of those conversations with Governor Nixon, Valerie has pledged to stay in close coordination with the Governor in making sure that he’s getting the support he needs from the federal government.” …
