Cancer, the most feared disease in America, just got scarier thanks to Obamacare. Despite the barrage of propganada claiming our health care system is in “crisis,” the fact is that if you are diagnosed with cancer, the best country in the world to receive treatment is the United States, by a fairly substantial margin. Our technology and our physicians are the best in the world. Period, as the president so often says.
But from now on, if you are covered by Obamacare, your options for cancer treatment are diminishing…
…To keep costs down, the White House designed ObamaCare plans as cut-rate HMOs. The low profit margins have forced insurers to downsize the number of doctors and hospitals in their networks – and to slash what they cover for out-of-network treatment.
So most ObamaCare plans don’t include the vast majority of the best cancer doctors and cancer centers. That’s a huge problem for these patients. As Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a former Medicare official, writes: “Cancer patients often need the help of specialized doctors and cancer institutions that won’t make it into many of these cheapened networks.”
All across the country, leading cancer centers – including New York’s Memorial Sloan Kettering – are excluded by the largest plans…

…KELLY: Do you feel that the president knowingly misled you? Does it matter to you?
ELLIOTT: Absolutely. He misled me. In fact, I voted for him because of that fact. You know? Governor Romney come out with his facts, but when President Obama come out and said, you know, you can keep your doctor, keep your insurance, I liked my doctor, I loved my insurance. It was paying just about everything including medications and medical devices.
Now with Obamacare, the man that I’ve got looked into it, they are not going to pay for pharmaceuticals or medical devices. MRI that I had last month before I got cancelled was $3,000. Now if I have to have another one it costs me out of my pocket $3,000.
KELLY: Your decision now faced with these costs is to do what with respect to your insurance?…
Matt Lauer pushes Dem O-care talking points; Sarah Palin doesn’t take the bait
…Lauer asked Palin about President Barack Obama’s apology at the buy viagra without prescription end of last week after it was discovered that five percent of Americans can’t keep their existing policies because they don’t meet the standards of the new healthcare law.
“What apology?’’ Palin said. “He kind of acknowledged a bit that there’s a broken website. The broken website is the least of America’s worries. This broken website I think is symbolic of a broken administration. Take over one-sixth of our economy and the socialized medicine that’s being crammed down our throat, that’s what’s broken.
“Where do you get this five percent?’’ she said. “It’s not five percent. It’s most Americans will not be able to keep the healthcare policy and programs that they had desired. The new programs that are being forced down our throat are unaffordable. Some of them are still being told, ‘Well if you like that insurance policy and that coverage, you still will be able to keep it, it’s just going to cost you a little bit more.’ That’s the point. If it’s going to cost you more, then it’s not the same policy.”…

Top O-Care Adviser: If Number of Enrollees Remains Low – Premiums Will Be ‘Very High’
“If the numbers aren’t there then the premiums and the exchanges will be very high because the people who will go through the most hoops to get that coverage are those to whom the costs are highest and their coverage is the worst. So it is very important that enough people get enrolled through the exchanges… It doesn’t collapse but it becomes much much harder.”
